bucks beard night

Literally the same day that I found out my current NBA doppelgänger is Bucks backup center Miroslav Raduljica, I found out this super valuable piece of information: On February 8, 2014, the Milwaukee Bucks will be hosting “Beard Night” when James Harden and the Rockets make their annual trip to Wisconsin. This is not a joke.

From Bucks.com:

Show Us Your Game Beard

Submit your “Game Beard” below and join the Bucks on Saturday, February 8, for Beard Night presented by Remington, and help show our visitors from Houston that it is our beards that should be feared. All fans who submit their game beards will receive a special $10 off ticket offer to help celebrate Beard Night with the Bucks (the first 25 to submit will receive a FREE pair of lower level tickets) as well as a special offer from Remington. After uploading your game beard photo on the form below, be sure to share your photos with your friends on Facebook and Twitter using the #GameBeard hashtag. The Bucks will share the best game beard photos on Twitter. Five bearded fans will be selected for a special on court feature. The five finalists will receive a prize pack from Remington. The winner amongst the five finalists will sit courtside for the second half to watch the Bucks vs Rockets.

Join Us At the Game, Get An Awesome T-Shirt

On game night (Feb 8th vs Houston), the first 500 bearded fans to stop by Remington’s booth on the concourse will receive a free #GameBeard t-shirt (it’s even red, so you’ll feel right at place during the Bucks Red Out for American Heart Association that night!).

Yes! This is the best. It’s such a good promotion, in fact, that I’m willing to call it my favorite promotion of the season. Sure, part of that is because the Cavs’ “Free Applesauce Night” isn’t real, but this is still awesome on its own merits.

I mean, not only are all the hirsute gentleman fans of the Milwaukee Bucks finally being honored for their achievements in facial hair growth, they’re also looking at a host of other goods — a cheap ticket, a t-shirt, and maybe even a free ticket – just for making the smart decision and growing a beard. WWE Night was cool, but this is flippin’ genius.

Not to mention, as Brandon Bayliss pointed out on Twitter, this could easily be considered “Trey Kerby Night.” And let me tell you, I am a HUGE fan of “Trey Kerby Night.” Tacos for everyone. And pizza. And Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It’s my night after all.

That is an amazing resemblance. At first I though it was Trey and then remembered about that bucks guy they were talking about.
