On Monday’s live episode of The Starters, the guys discuss preview and predict tonight’s two semifinal series: Wizards/Pacers and Clippers/Thunder. That, plus we recap an awesome NBA weekend with Bones, talk MCW winning ROY, and debate whether the Warriors should bring back head coach Mark Jackson.
Shoutout: 32 points, four rebounds, four assists and three turnovers in just 34 minutes for Tony Parker, who helped the Spurs look the most Spurs-y they have so far this postseason while sending Dallas home to think about their dads. They face the Trail Blazers starting tomorrow night, so start re-calibrating your Every Player on the Court is Skilled meter immediately.
Not so much: After five Game 7s, eight overtimes and something like 550 four-point plays, the greatest first round in NBA history is over. Bummer.
So close: Nets-Raptors was such a closely contested series that even Game 7 was a one-point game that came down to a blocked shot in the lane.
Personally, I’d have liked to see the Raptors run a play besides Kyle Lowry Dribbles in to Every Single Nets Player Before Trying to Shoot the Ball Over Every Single Nets Player, but I guess you dance with who brought you. Gonna miss you, Raptors.
