On Friday’s live episode of The Starters, the guys preview tonight’s Pacers-Heat game with NBATV’s Matt Winer, breakdown last night’s two games (Spurs/Mavs, Nuggets/Warriors), discuss Anthony Davis’ leap, and hand out their Worst and Tweet of the Week honors. All that, plus Leigh sings a little Bobby Brown.
Shoutout: You know, just a standard 23-point, 29-rebound game for Timofey Mozgov, whose previous career high in rebounds was 20 and whose second career high in rebounds was 15. This comes a night after Randy Foye putting up 30 and 15, so I don’t have any idea what is happening in Denver any more.
Not so much: No really terrible lines last night, but Darrell Arthur and Evan Fournier combined to go 7-26 off the Nuggets’ bench, so they’re taking home this anti-award. Sorry, guys.
Also sorry: About those ankles, Quincy Miller.
One thing I think we can all thank And 1 for is that none of us care about whether or not a player makes a basket after a nice crossover. Well, except for Leigh Ellis. He’s not impressed, probably because they never had those VHS tapes in Australia.
