On Friday’s live episode of The Starters, the guys discuss the Spurs’ ball movement, Kawhi Leonard’s D on LeBron, the sleeved-jerseys controversy, Gerald Green, Joe Dumars, the ’09 Draft, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and Mark Cuban’s thoughts on college ball vs. the D-League. All that, and of our weeks — Worst, Tweet and Top 10 Plays.
Shoutout: A career-high 41 points for Gerald Green, including 25 in the third quarter where he was essentially just throwing up any three-pointer he could find and watching them splash. Threw down a nice Gerald Green too, just for good measure.
Not so much: The Lakers scored 94 points and still lost by 48. I don’t even know how that’s possible.
Sleeve watch: LeBron James scored 19 points on 6-18 shooting last night, all while making a single shot outside of the lane (a 16-footer, nothing else). He then sorta blamed it on the EneBeA sleeved jerseys the Heat were wearing.
Do you buy it? Stats kind of back him up, though the sample size is tiny and includes an All-Star Game. But I agree with Kenny Smith on this one — wear a bigger size.
